The Good News of Jesus Christ

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Phil 1:6
Greetings Friends.
My name is Stanley Grass. I pastor Old Clouds Creek Baptist Church near Colcord, Oklahoma. The Lord Jesus saved me by His amazing Grace in 1981 and I am so thankful He has kept me by His power all these wonderful years. The Scripture says that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6).
I would like to share a brief message from God’s Holy Word with our brothers and sisters in South Dakota. The Scriptures are taken from the 11th Chapter of Hebrews: Vs 17-19 (Heb 11:17-19). Abraham, when he was tested of his faith by God, obeyed and was willing to offer up his only son Isaac as a burnt offering on one of the mountains in the Land of Moriah. Like Abraham, how many professing Christians today obey the Lord without questioning His Word? Jesus had to say in His day “Why do you call me Lord, Lord, but do not the things that I say?” (Luke 6:46). The Scriptures say that Abraham obeyed; accounting that God was able even to raise Isaac from the dead. The word accounting means “to make inventory” in the Greek. Abraham reasoned that even if he killed Isaac on the altar, God would shortly raise him from the dead because he was the son of promise. God had promised through Isaac that his seed (descendants) would be as many as the stars in the sky and also the sands on the seashore. Remember that Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born and Sarah was 90 years old. It is written that Abraham believed God and it was accounted unto him for righteousness (Gal 3:6). As Abraham, we also can have the faith and courage to obey God in the difficult trials and circumstances that we go through in this world; because He lives we can live also. Thank God that whosoever believes the record that God hath given of His Son hath Eternal Life and this life is in His Son. These things were written unto us who believe that we may know that we have Eternal Life (1 John 5:12-13).
God the Father was not only willing but actually did offer His only begotten Son Jesus to suffer and die on the cross for our sins. As Abraham took his son Isaac to a mountain, Jesus was crucified on a cross on the hill called Golgotha. Because of our fallen nature as sinners and the mountain of sin debt we owed, only Jesus Christ could pay the enormous price that was demanded so we could be forgiven and redeemed (Rom 6:23) (1 John 2:2).
Brothers and sisters let us thank God for the fact, the hope and the power of the death, burial and resurrections of Jesus Christ. The fact of the resurrection is imperative to believe for salvation because the Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Praise God that He raised His Son from the grave. If you are not a Christian, Jesus loves you and He will gloriously save you and come into your heart by repentance and faith in His finished work of redemption. Jesus will be your Savior and Lord and you will be His Child forever. Praise Jesus! God is ready to pardon you now, so please receive Him today (John 1:12).
Thank you for allowing me to share with you my testimony and these scriptures which are dear to my heart. Also let me thank Phil Lawrence for his love and compassion for our native people and his willingness to obey the Lord. Jesus said “all that the Father giveth me shall come to me and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out " (John 6:37).
If we don’t meet one another here on earth, hope to see and meet you in the rapture.
