Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.   (Gal 6:7)

 Mesopotamia king Sennacherib Mock’s God

(Isa 37:10-11) (2 Kings 19:8-13)

*Assyria was a country in northern Mesopotamia in the Old Testament times of the Israelite kings. It became a large empire. Sennacherib was the king there from 704-681 BC during the reign of Hezekiah king of Judah. Sennacherib means ‘sin has replaced my brother’.  He invaded Judah and mocked God by sending messengers to Jerusalem to tell Hezekiah that God would not defend Judah. “Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?” (Isa 37:10-11) Hezekiah prayed to God about Sennacherib’s insults and mockery and asked for deliverance.

God answered through the prophet Isaiah. “Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest” (Isa 37:29). At night the angel of the Lord struck down 185,000 men in the Assyrian camp. Sennacherib broke camp and withdrew to his home city. One day while worshiping his god (little 'g') in its temple, two of his sons killed him with a sword. GOD is not to be mocked: those who do will face grave consequences. As far as Hezekiah and Jerusalem’s outcome; God is mighty to save.  He still is mighty to save today.  Nothing has changed.  God is omnipotent (all powerful).

Now let's turn the pages forward to the 20th Century:

Thomas Andrews Quote:

Thomas Andrews was the architect of the “greatest” ship Titanic. After the construction of the titanic he was asked by a reporter just how safe the Titanic was. His response is infamous, as with an ironic tone he said, “Not even God can sink the Titanic.”   So prideful was that statement he had made.  The Titanic sunk on its first voyage in 1912, and more than 1500 people perished in the icy waters after it hit an iceberg. The huge ship went down into the deep within two hours. Thomas Andrews did not survive and his body was never recovered. God knows where his body ended up. Andrews died a mocker’s death.

Let's look at some mockers within the past 50 years or so.

John Lennon Quote (from 1966):  Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain! JESUS WAS OKAY, but His subjects were too simple, and today we are more famous than Jesus”.  John Lennin was killed in 1980 at 39 years old.

Marilyn Monroe replied to Billy Graham’s witnessing attempt: “I don’t need your Jesus.” She died of a ‘supposed’ drug overdose at the age of 36. God is not mocked. Sadly, she now knows that Jesus was the answer to her life's problems.  It's too late now to do anything about it.

Tancredo Neves, President of Brazil was quoted, “not even God could remove him from the presidency.” He got sick and died one day before he was made president. God is not mocked.  He can't go back and withdraw that statement now.

Agenor Miranda Araujo Neto - known as Cazuza, was a well known Brazilian singer / poet / composer and a God-mocker in a big way. He was a heavy smoker and with one of his last ‘drags’ he took, he blew smoke towards Heaven and said, “That’s for You God.” To be short, Cazuza was blowing smoke in God’s face in mocking defiance. God sees all and knows all and is not mocked. Cazuza, who also was a practicing bisexual (the Bible says sodomite) (see 1 Cor 6:9-10), died shortly after that statement. He was in God’s face often. God is not mocked.  Sadly Cazuza is still smoking.

Katherine Hepburn, famous actress, stated in an interview, “I am an atheist that’s it. I believe there’s nothing we can know except that we should be kind to each other and do what we can for other people.” Miss Hepburn, who carried on an adulterous affair for years with a married man, died at 96 years old without publicly acknowledging Christ. She had more than 60 years of fame on earth being a highly popular and successful actress, but now Ms Hepburn is perishing in hell more than likely. ‘She is no longer is an atheist’. No matter how well one is liked and admired on this earth, it doesn’t count for heaven. Caring for others is what God wants us do to however, God put us on earth to glorify Him - that is our purpose - Love GOD and love one another. God is not mocked

For ye are bought with a price:  therefore glorify God in your body,

and in your spirit, which are God's (1 Cor 6:20).

King Ahaziah, the son of Ahab; “For he served Baal, and worshiped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done” (1 Kings 22:53).

There are literally dozens of places in God’s Bible where people have mocked and angered God. God gave His only begotten Son to us as a sacrifice and yet so many people are “in God’s face,” and mocking Him.  Ahaziah served Baal and many on this earth are doing the same. They are serving Baal. Baal was a male god (little g) of the Phoenicians. Our “Baal” today is money, people, positions, power, wealth, cell phones, TV, and many other things that take away from our Creator and Lord GodIf you are not honoring and serving God, you are serving the gods of this world. Baal. You cannot straddle the fence.  You're on one side or the other, not both. God is not to be mocked, yet man (and that includes men, women, and young people) continues to mock Him whether he is a "ruler of a country", or whether he is "impoverished and homeless".  Today, in the United States, multitudes in the 'so-called' entertainment industry and in the political arena are mocking God on an hourly basisTheir day is coming soon.  Jesus said,  "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh" (Matt 25:13).  He also said "behold, I come quickly".  (Rev 3:11)  The time will come much quicker than we expect.

There is a message that I have heard a few times over the years, entitled “Pay Day Someday” by R G Lee, and it is sad but true. For those who have not received Jesus (John 1:12) in their lives (born again John 3:3), they will be standing before HIM at the ‘White Throne Judgement’ and at that time, there will be nothing they can do to alter their destination (Rev 20:11-15).  There will be a Pay Day. They will be judged by the same person they rejected during their life on earth –  and that Person is Jesus Christ, our Creator.

THEY ARE REAPING WHAT THEY HAVE SOWN.

Dear ones.  this similar message has been done by many over the years.  There is nothing new under the sun (Ecc 1:9)I feel it is of the utmost importance to send this message out again.  God has led me to do it again in my words.  I know some of you who are reading this, or will read it.   I have spoken to you personally in the past, as you know.  Let me say this.  "Please do not fall into the hands of an angry God" (Ps 7:11).  Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near.  (Isa 55:6).  Please do this today while you still have time.  Let us honor and glorify the ONE who put breath and life in all of us.  Christ died for our sins.  Jesus rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Cor 15:3-4) and He is waiting on you to flee from Baal and the mockery of God

Confess, Believe, Turn (repent) and Follow

God loves you but remember, that God is not to be mocked (Gal 6:7).

Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(Rom 10:13)

1 Corinthians 15:55-57“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
