“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”      (Ps 46:10)

Although not a fan of some music in the late 1960's, some songs were played so often that the chance of the words being stamped in one’s brain were high. They were played often on car radios and television back in the day.  We were being brainwashed.

The military latched on to me at that time so I didn’t have to endure the continual bombardment of one particular song, however the first line has some accidental truth for us this present day.  “Slow down you move too fast.” (The song was entitled “felling groovy” and I still believe that “groovy’ means something that has grooves just as I still believe the word “gay” is happy and does not pertain to sodomite lifestyles.)  We have far too much 'talking, texting, gabbing, grumbling and chit chat' when we all need to be still for a while.  Time with God will solve that.

There is an overwhelming number of ‘Youtube’ videos and articles permeating the airwaves and circulating throughout the devil’s media that they will drive one’s blood pressure up to dangerous levels and keep one’s nerves frazzled like bacon frying in a pan.  Especially hearing the lies being spewed out like a fountain during this upcoming election season.

God’s perfect word will relieve us of all this. “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;” (1 Thess 4:11)  Make that your goal in this life and spend more time in your ‘prayer closets’.  Here is great advice from Jesus. (Matt 6:6) "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;"

Having problems sleeping at night?  Try praying.   “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.” (Ps 4:4)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A special thanks to Daniel Gibson of Tennessee Valley Web Design for his involvement in promoting God's holy word and a safe stop on the internet.

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
