A Wonderful Time

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”   (1 Cor 2:9)

Have you ever participated in a surprise party or had one thrown for you?  More than likely it was an ‘enjoyable’ event and the best part of it was that you enjoyed the fellowship with family and friends.  Throughout the Bible the Lord has shown us glimpses of wonderful gifts He has for us who belong to Him.  We as “saints,” having received Christ (John 1:12) as our Lord and Savior, eagerly await the wonderful things that God has prepared for us in Heaven.   Jesus gave us a preview when He told us that He was building a special home for each of us. The KJV Bible reads mansions,” (John 14:2-3) and although some are interpreting that as ‘rooms’, I personally believe mine will be a mansion like He said.  If Jesus would have told His disciples “homes” or “houses”, or “rooms”, I might think differently, but He said “mansions”.   One thing I am sure of, There will be no shacks or shanties in heaven!

And that mansion will be sitting on a “street of gold” unlike the pot-hole filled country road where I live presently. “And the street of the city was pure gold, . . ” (Rev 21:21) The best will be that we will be living with our Creator, Jesus Christ.  As the gospel song written by Leroy Abernathy in 1947, says, “everybody’s gonna have a wonderful time up there.”  We may envision this place, but since the “Eye hath not seen,” we truly cannot imagine it.

How about you?  Will you be attending this joyous event?  Are you looking forward to that wonderful day and working as hard as you can for it?  Are your ‘good deeds’ on earth outweighing the bad?  If this is the case, you won’t be there with us.  Our works and good deeds won’t get us into heaven. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph 2:8-9)  The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one:” (Rom 3:10)   Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (Jn 14:6)

 My dear Friend:

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:”

(Isa 55:6)

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

(Rom 10:9)

Look me up when you get there. I’ll be in the 7th mansion on the right on Gold Street!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A special thanks to Daniel Gibson of Tennessee Valley Web Design for his involvement in promoting God's holy word and a safe stop on the internet.

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
