Pressing toward the mark

As we all long for that coming day, to see Jesus, come for His own.
It seems like we watch daily, for our King upon His throne.
As we struggle through this life, it gets more wicked day by day.
Let’s hold on to that promise, that we’ll be taken, soon away.

Even so, come our Lord Jesus, we speak this oft at times.
But yet we have reluctance, for so many eyes are blind.
In seeming desperation, reaching out to many friends,
To preach Christ's glorious Gospel, all the way until the end.

Our neighbors need to hear it, young and old 'turn from your ways.
The time is drawing nigh, call out to Him and pray'.
For the many who do not know Him, they must hear it one more time.
As many say they know our Lord, still walk in sin and pride.

So with love we’ll preach the Gospel, though some say we’re in error.
"Well done my faithful servant", that's what we long to hear.
Pressing toward the mark, yes, heaven is our goal.
Our want, to step upon that shore, with a boatload full of souls.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus

(Phil 3:14).

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A special thanks to Daniel Gibson of Tennessee Valley Web Design for his involvement in promoting God's holy word and a safe stop on the internet.

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
